The following interview is an activity of the Research Project titled: “Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec: A Perspective from International Security Studies and Comparative Politics”, registered at the Isidro Fabela Institute of International Studies, Universidad del Mar, with Programmatic Unit Key 2IEI2303, approved on July 11, 2023. Vice Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles was born on July 4, 1966, in the City of San Ildefonso, Sola de Vega, Oaxaca. He is a Naval Sciences Engineer graduated with honors. His academic background includes studies at national and foreign institutions. He pursued Master’s degrees in National Security and Naval Administration. He completed diplomas in Telematic Technologies and Information Security. He has received various decorations, published works, and delivered conferences. Since February 2018, he served as the Director of the Naval Higher Studies Center (CESNAV) of the Navy Secretariat. In early 2023, he was appointed as the Director General of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec at the federal level.
